It has become clear today that several Councils that we work for have adopted a weekly account payment policy.
We have had a number of invoices that are usually due for payment on the 20th of the month paid today.
This action by Councils and their accounts departments is both thoughtful and appreciated.
In periods such as the current COVID-19 Level 4 arrangements, regular cash flow for all businesses becomes really important – for payment of employees, suppliers, leases and taxes.
The weekly account payment policies adopted by these New Zealand Councils boost confidence and keeps money flowing in the economy, so well done.
