During the 2016 IDS, working with consortium partners, Waugh Infrastructure Management undertook a series of analysis projects across New Zealand road networks
- 2015 Auckland Transport Strategic Maintenance Investment Model, January 2016
- 2016 NZ Transportation Agency Strategic Maintenance Investment Model, July 2016
- dTIMS Modelling of the RATA Regional Road Network (Waikato Region), August 2016
These models and analysis provided a range of outputs and included the transition to One Network Road Classification (ONRC) Performance Measures.
Following the development of these reports, Infrastructure Decision Support has engaged David Fraser (AMSAAM Ltd) and Ross Waugh (Waugh Infrastructure Management) to undertake a strategic review of the outputs and to recommend further development of the IDS toolset to assist asset owners both in the interpretation of the modelling results, and in the utilisation of the modelling outcomes for strategic investment planning.
The paper will report on this strategic review of outcomes, the initial findings, and recommendations from the review.
The paper will provide attendees with the opportunity to be updated on the progress of this work programme, and to gain an understanding of the recommended next steps.
