Wellness is such an important topic and a core value of Waugh Infrastructure Management Limited that we have sponsored the Hauora Wellness Stream at the Āpōpō Congress.

Over the past month, we have made several posts on LinkedIn and our website highlighting wellness themes. If you missed them, we encourage you to go back and read them.

We covered looking after yourself and being ‘fit for purpose’ to do your job. We discussed the importance of making time and space for family, friends, hobbies, and self-care.

Self-care involves being aware of how much of your week is spent in stress mode. What is your tolerance to this, and how do you ‘catch your breath’? 

Ross Waugh shared his personal story about taking up photography again to find the time to do something for himself.

We also covered team wellness, an extension of individual wellness that is an important part of an organisation’s culture. We discussed how trust and good communication are essential in building and sustaining team wellness.

Our team volunteer days also contribute to overall team wellness, getting out of the office together, and supporting our communities.
