The decision to trial QR codes came about due to a desire to collect repeated observations from multiple sites within a Wastewater Treatment Plant three times per day and share this information real-time with multiple parties hundreds of kilometres apart. The data was used to optimise processes operation.
A further key consideration was a desire to limit the burden on the operators collecting the data and tailor the solution to maximise the use of current equipment and skills.
