As noted in our previous blog post the Better Business Case (BBC) methodology has been adopted by NZTA, and particularly in Land Transport activities, the impacts of the methodology are being considered for inclusion in Asset Management Plan updates.
The methodology contains many useful concepts and adapts well to AMPs and local authority asset management practice.
After six months of reflection since completing the BBC training, I believe that the two areas where our 2014 AMP Updates could gain particular value from the BBC methodology are applicable in the Strategic Case and the Commercial Case.
I would encourage you to look at the BBC methodology, and consider its application to your Asset Management Plan Update.
