The last item I want to discuss in this AMP 2014 Update series is the AMP Improvement Programme.
Every Asset Management Plan has an improvement plan, and if you haven’t made already, now is a good time to review and document progress on your last AMP’s improvement plan:
- Have all the improvement plan items been completed?
- If there are any outstanding items, can or should these items be completed prior to the 2014 AMP update?
Documenting and reporting improvement plan progress from the last AMP adds confidence to your Asset Management Planning processes and to the current AMP.
If you have completed a Waugh Infrastructure Asset Management Plan Compliance Report or other Peer Review of your AMP then this will also inform your improvement programme and analysis of progress.
Asset management planning is an on-going and iterative process, so as part of your AMP update you should generate an updated AMP improvement programme.
This updated improvement programme, with assigned resources, budgets, and responsibilities, will then become part of your asset management work programme for the next three years.
Feel free to contact Waugh Infrastructure Management Ltd. for some questions you may have about updating your Asset Management Plan.
