Health and Safety Policy
This policy supports all Waugh Infrastructure activities, applicable to the persons involved in the construction sites as well as those working at the office.
Health and safety must integrate our every process, influencing the way we purchase and relate to suppliers, how we design and manage projects and, most importantly, how we provide safe and healthy conditions to staff and other persons.
Our commitment is to:
- Establish and maintain initiatives for workers consultation and participation;
- Eliminate and, when not possible to eliminate, minimise any risk to health and safety;
- Work for the prevention of injuries and ill-health;
- Conform with ISO 45001:2018 and comply with all relevant compliance, legal, regulatory and statutory requirements; and
- Work towards continuous improvement.
The objectives we will pursue to satisfy this commitment are:
- Providing a safe place to work including safety equipment and materials;
- Providing appropriate induction, training and supervision;
- Proactively identifying risks and unsafe behaviours and eliminate or, when not possible to eliminate, minimise them;
- Monitoring workplaces, through internal and external auditing;
- Assessing and recognising the health and safety performance of employees; and
- Providing opportunities for fair and effective workers representation and resolution of issues.
