The Waugh Infrastructure Management Limited team attended RIMS (Roading Infrastructure Management Support) 2024 in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland from March 13 to 14.
RIMS 2024 was a thoroughly enjoyable conference. The keynotes and stream sessions provided great insights and discussions about industry challenges and advancements.
Keynote speakers such as Nicole Rosie from Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and Hon Simeon Brown robustly discussed the draft Government Policy Statement (GPS) on the NZ Land Transport sector.
Waugh Infrastructure Management Limited sponsored the Optimised Decision Making (OPM) stream. Waugh’s Asset Management Specialist, Grant Holland, presented on the topic with his captivating presentation titled “Yeah, Nah, Maybe?” He also gave feedback towards the end of the conference.
Ross Waugh participated in a panel discussion of the new GPS. His key takeaway from the forum was the need to get back to basics and deliver for our communities.
In the photo above, Simeon Brown led the Q&A. It was great having the Minister of Transport speak at this important industry event, and he had a lengthy Q&A opportunity that provided the participants with the needed knowledge and information.
It was another excellent opportunity to learn and develop as a team. Waugh Infrastructure thanks the Infrastructure Decision Support NZ (IDS NZ) and Āpōpō for a great forum.
