Further to my previous post, New Zealand Census 2013, more information had since been released by Statistics NZ.
The release schedule for the 2013 Census information has been provided by Statistics NZ.
Most significant for territorial authorities the Regional Summary Tables were released on 3rd December 2013.
These Excel tables cover a wide range of topics, such as age, sex, and ethnicity, broken down by regional council area and territorial authority area. These tables contain 2006 and 2013 data.
Significantly for asset management NZ consultants, the age and sex table data (grouped by territorial authority) provide the information needed to update demographic analysis by Council.
This will be particularly useful for the updating of demand management analysis in the Asset Management Plans.
These data can be obtained by downloading the MS Excel files at the Statistics New Zealand website.
