It has been a long time between blog posts on this blog, so I thought I would provide a quick update.
The first half of 2015 has been very busy for the Waugh Infrastructure team, with a range of client projects associated with:
- General infrastructure asset management,
- Asset Management Plans,
- Asset management information systems support,
- Long Term Plans
- Infrastructure Strategies
Since New Year I have been blogging almost daily at Inframanage.com, across a range of internationally focussed infrastructure management subjects.
Please head over to Inframanage.com if you want to follow the information here.
Just to reiterate our focus with these two blogs – Waugh Blog will continue to focus on New Zealand infrastructure asset management, legislative changes and impacts, and New Zealand industry trends.
Inframanage.com will have an international focus on infrastructure asset management. There will be the occasional cross-post between the blogs
As I look back over my calendar for the past 6 months, in addition to client projects I have also attended the following conferences:
- RIMS/IDS Forum, Auckland, March
- NIU/IPWEA NZ Infrastructure Forum, Wellington, March
- ICMPA9, Washington DC, USA, May
- IFME/IPWEA International, Rotorua, June
The papers and discussions at these conferences were of a high standard, and I have made a number of observations that I plan to share on this blog, and Inframanage Blog going forward.
I am also planning to share and discuss a number of key papers from these conferences, as I obtain permission to do so.
Of course, our wider industry hasn’t been static over the last six months either, and there is a range of interesting trends happening here in New Zealand that have impacts on infrastructure management, and I think are worth discussing.
The constraints of time are still with us as a team, and we have some major projects continuing over the next several months.
Our intention is to continue the daily blog schedule at Inframanage.com with blog posts here on Waugh Blog being less frequent.
